Quote from Syfoon :Not even with a hands-free kit.

I'm not saying don't use one, but having a full blown conversation on the blower while you're driving... bad.

Drivers really need to get into the habit of just saying "I'm driving, sod off" and hanging up. I never let anyone who's driving me talk on the phone, I'll take it off of them if needbe.

If you get caught, you deserve the points and fine IMO.

and, what if it was their spouse? or a best friend? or thier boss?

i say you can talk on the phone while driving, but not text. if your talking on the phone and your still paying attention to the road, then that might be okay.

Quote from Tomba(FIN) :ugh yeah.. now I'm even more against drifting

japanese aren't more expensive. It's the fact that they need to be imported is when they get expensive. Otherwise, they are just as much as any other car. So, he is right, and he is also incorrect. So you don't need to worry about that. But yeah, I am against the fact that more ricers do drifting. What drifting needs in some American and European. European would look absoleutly best though. I'll take the new M3 with the V8 for a drift car (like mine off of Pro Street!!!)

Quote from G!NhO :ok go play NFSU or ........................ lol

you know, NFS is just a fallout of reality type of game. the cars are real, but not the driving. when i get, I'm getting that '67 Camaro RS/SS. they also are incorrect on the names sometimes. like Corvette C6 ZO6, '67 Camaro RS/SS, and they don't know what year the 240SX is. I think, its '95, cause in '96, the 240 has a spoiler, and more power. Still, NFS is okay. My favorite is Pro Street. I wish LFS could have something like that. Upgrading your cars, giving them more aerodynamics, making the car look how you want it, and then give it some power! That would make LFS SOOOOOOOO cool.

[quote=Dunmer;1028033]Well I can’t remember everything, but will give it a shot.
- Hacked a company and grabbed some personal information.
- Told the press about this vulnerability (Hit the news with my real name, so the company could track me.
Not really clever to provide my real name huh :P)
- Obviously the company did track me…..

smart dude. yeah they definitely didn't find out. lol. thats funny to me. still, great job on hacking them. I wish i could learn how to hack.

nothing much. i did buy Dust To Glory the movie, and melted my parachute in my rocket i just got. I let my brother borrow my money, which he never payed me back, which i also could have used to buy a license, and i turned one more year older. yay for me. OH. i got an iPOD nano. I got one step closer to a learners permit, and I found out many things that might be important, or not important. I got better at LFS, and I'm starting to get close to 1:30 around Blackwood with the XRT (because I still use version X10). So, that was my good points, otherwise this year wasn't a whole lot exciting.

i say the new one, because it looks better, is faster, is bigger so you have more room, and it's a cool tuning car.

Quote from mrodgers :Ford had something different when they retrostyled the Mustang. Of course, not to be undone, GM and Chrysler had to jump in and copy it.

GM and Chrysler are to LFS cruising servers as the Mustang is to the CLC cruise server. The former all copies, the later are the original concepts.

now since you put that, i just noticed. also. chevrolet is trying to copy some other cars too. Like take the Audi R8, the new Audi S4, A4, and S5, and look at their headlights. The all new Camaro has a ring around the lights that, jut like the LEDs, stays on. Also, the new Camaro rims look like something off a RX-8.

Quote from Tim_J_23 :Actually Plymouth was first.
The Plymouth Prowler is the "first" retro looking car if you can say that.

then it was the Mustang, right? then the Challenger, and soon to be Camaro. Well, not really on the Camaro.

i like both. the new muscle cars have much more speed, handling, have the same horse as the new ones, and the Corvette, is an all around supercar musclecar type of car.

BTW, how can I start polls? Or is that a S2 licensed thing?

Quote from JeffR :In the USA, the main drag racing sanctioning body, NHRA, limits engine size to 500 cubic inch V8, with pushrods and 2 valves per cylinder for Pro Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel classes. In the case of Pro Stock, these are "crate" motors built by Chrysler, Ford, and GM. For Funny and Top Fuel, the engines are custom built. All are similar to the Chrysler "hemi" 426 cubic inch engine, but not based on it. Again, note that this is by the rules. Pro Stock class is normally aspirated and 1/4 miles times are around 6.8. There are supercharged and turbocharged street looking type drag racers that are faster, but these run in different classes.

The less popular IHRA allows for the larger engines, up to 800 cubic engines, called "mountain motors".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Stock

In the Lemans series, normally aspirated gasoline engines up to 8.0 liters are allowed, smaller if there is forced induction (turbo charger for example).

Although the power per liter is lower with these bigger engines, the power per weight isn't. As an example, the 7.0 liter, normally aspirated, pushrod V8, 505 hp, engine in a Corvette Z06 is lighter than the 3.6 liter, turbo charged, flat six, 480hp / 520 hp in a Turbo Porsche 911 / GT2. In the case of the Z06, 505hp is the guaranteed minimum, most make around 520hp. I don't know if the GT2's power is similarly understated. The Z06 weighs about 3150 lbs, 200 less than the 3350 lbs of a Subaru WRX STI (however you could buy 2 STI's for the cost of the Z06, and 2 Z06's for the cost of the GT2 with money left over).

WOW! so much useful information! I learned some new stuff today. thank you for that. everyone should give a HUGE round of applause after that.
